Recommended Use
Take at first signs of cold or flu to help shorten the duration of cold and flu symptoms. Helps relieve symptoms of sore throat, cough, runny nose, fever and headache. Ginger is traditionally used in Herbal Medicine as an expectorant and anti-tussive to help relieve nausea, bronchitis, as well as coughs and colds. Helps reduce the frequency, severity and duration of cold and flu symptoms by boosting the immune system. Helps relieve sleeplessness associated with common cold.
Dosing Directions
Adults: Take 2 capsules daily at or before bedtime. Do not drive or use machinery for 5 hours after taking the medication. For use beyond 4 weeks, consult a healthcare practitioner.
Medicinal Ingredients
Each capsule contains:
• COLD-FX® CVT-E002®1 (Panax quinquefolius; 4:1 root extract) 200 mg / 800 mg*
• Melatonin (N-Acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine) 5 mg
• Andrographis (Andrographis paniculata 12:1 leaf extract) 30% Andrographolide 100 mg / 1.2 g*
• Ginger (Zingiber officinale; 4:1 rhizome extract) 125 mg / 500 mg*
*herbal equivalent1 proprietary extract of North American Ginseng
Non-medicinal Ingredients
Microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, hypromellose.
Contraindications
Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding. Individuals with known allergies to ginseng or plants of Acanthaceae family should avoid use of this product.
Cautions and Warnings
Not recommended for individuals with impaired liver or renal functions. Individuals requiring anti-coagulant therapy such as warfarin or individuals taking isoniazid should avoid use of this product. Consult a healthcare practitioner before use if you have asthma, cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, liver disease, immune system disease, depression, diabetes, hypoglycaemia, hormonal disorder, migraine or seizure disorders. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are taking anticonvulsants, blood pressure medications, immunosuppressive medications, sedative, hypnotic or psychotropic medications or steroids. Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Consumption with alcohol, other medications or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended. Do not exceed recommended daily dose.
Known Adverse Reactions
Rare allergic reactions have been known to occur in which case, discontinue use. Mild gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, or cramping) have been known to occur in which case, discontinue use.
